Description
The Order of Light, believe that light is true nature of goodness in the universe. They also believe that there is a spark of light within each person that thier actions may cause to dim or to shine brightly. They believe that all life is sacred and to put out someone else's light is to damage your own as well. The head of thier church is known as the Jeune fille Brillante, or Shining Maiden and is seen as the incarnation of light itself.
Two facts about the Order of light have drawn attention over the Galaxy.
First the rituals, in which onlookers, believers or not have seen the priest/ess channelling light and focusing it. This focusing of light has been confirmed by scientists as genuine although the cause is unknown; the common belief being it was caused by faith.
The second is the apparent unageing nature of the Jeune fille Brillante, who has not appeared to have aged since founding the religion on her mid 20's.
Head of Faith Message
Greeting to the followers of the Light,
Our faith is yet small so I ask that you act so that the light may be shone upon all who gaze upon you. Act with kindness, let soft gentle light fall upon those in need but let your light illuminate and reveal those who would act with darkness within them.
Seek knowledge where you can, a life lived in the dark of ignorance has not been truly lived. The light lives in our bodies, our minds and our souls, it would be wrong to ignore one of those and we would end up stagnant and unmoving, truly apart from the ever flowing, ever moving light.
In these days of rulers, legions and spies the ability to turn to one another is truely important. Alkaid will be our fortress, our holy planet of safety and sanctuary. Preach in the streets, tell everyone of the light and let Alkaid be illuminated.
Live in illuminating light,
Jeune fille Brillante
