Description
Everything exists in edges, between good and evil, night and day, shadows and light. By stepping entirely into either darkness or light one is blinded; it is only by standing between extremes that truth may be seen. Silhouism takes the position that balance must be sought between darkness and light, that there are no absolutes. Furthermore, the universe is filled with spirits that are invisible to the unknowing eye, some of which are benevolent, some of which are not. Care must be taken not to offend these spirits, through music, prayer, and thoughtfulness towards places where spirits are known to reside. Every person has one spirit following them throughout life, often disguised as their shadow, which looks out for them and them alone. Religious ceremonies for Silhouism often involve the ritual lighting of candles.
Head of Faith Message
In light of the recent issues on Algorab, we encourage the faithful to pray to the spirits for understanding and courage. All fear change and the erosion of ancient ways, but the spirits themselves encourage careful meditation rather than rash actions.
