House Boudicca

House Boudicca existed as a minor noble family on Gienah for several generations before their rise to prominance on the galactic scene. They have a well earned reputation for drinking, partying, and loose morals (although they take the converse view that most of the rest of the galaxy is made of prudes). Their ancestral home is called Caerphilly, an extravegantly decorated villa located in one of the temperate regions of Gienah.

The Boudicca family tends towards fair skin and red hair of various shades. Eye color varies by parentage but most have eyes in various shades of green.

• Baroness Erina Boudicca - Deceased
  

• A dynamic, charismatic individual. She is an average duellist and an able administrator.
  

• Head of Faith for Uisce Beatha
  

• Erina became head of house at the age of 26 with the untimely death of her mother Cara. She has the fiery red hair and green eyes that are the trademark of the house. She maintains a very refined exterior but is decadent to her core: flirtatious, sexually adventurous to the point of being predatory, and never turns down a drink or a gift. Her marriage with Uistean is an open one (a tradition among the Boudicca women) and she takes partners as the mood strikes her (which is often). Proud, she is quick to anger over slights (real or imagined) but usually just as quick to forgive if the apology includes a drink or a good meal. She is not one for hard work, preferring to pass along details to underlings, and she has a fondness for tabloids.
  

• Erina recently underwent the 'Prometheus Process', transferring her consciousness to the body of a much younger woman, keeping the trademark red hair and green eyes. Politically she has shifted away from supporting the current Imperial regime, instead striking out on her own and forming her own alliance.
  

• Erina died at the age of 89, while in the midst of a push to name herself empress.

• Uistean Boudicca - Husband of the Baroness
  

• An idle, charismatic intellectual. He is a mediocre duellist and an able administrator.
  

• Uistean was a very minor noble on Gineah who met Erina while he was serving in the militia and was instantly smitten by her beauty. He initially had trouble dealing with the fact that he was just one of her many partners but love overcame that and they now share a deep respect. He is free to take other partners which he often shares with Erina. Now that the house has ascended to the ranks of the major nobility there is little left for him to do and he spends his time with is wife or hunting. He has grown more handsome with age, being tall and tanned with dark hair, and maintains himself in top physical condition.
  

• Uistean also underwent the 'Prometheus Process' and has the body of a much younger man.

• Hazel Boudicca - Sister of the Baroness
  

• An idle, ordinary intellectual. She is an average duellist and a mediocre administrator.
  

• Erina's younger sister, she shares Erina's lust for life (and men) along with the standard red hair (although a bit darker and duller than Erina's) and green eyes. However, where Erina maintains a dignified veneer, Hazel is direct to the point of bluntness. When she sees something she wants, she goes after it, consequences be damned. While all Boudiccas drink, she may be an actual alcoholic, unable to pass the day without partaking. She loves duelling, a common love among all Boudiccas, and often attends the fights in person. She is the driving force behind the Boudicca presence in the pits.
  

• Hazel and Erina recently had a falling out over the destruction of the Sunfell HQ and Hazel is currently not welcome at Caerphilly. In retaliation she has converted to the Children of Slaine.
  

• Hazel and Erina reconciled and Hazel was welcomed back to the family with open arms. She once again took up Uisce Beatha and is content to spend the rest of her days spreading the word of that faith (mostly through wanton behavior).

• Lughaidh Boudicca - Cousin of the Baroness - Deceased
  

• A diligent, ordinary genius. He is an average duellist and administrator.
  

• Lughaidh is a bit of an oddity among the Boudiccas. He shares many of the physical characteristics (reddish hair) but with brown eyes, but its not the looks that set him apart. He tends towards the bookish and quiet among a family that likes to party. When engaged he can be charming and personable but he prefers to be left in peace. Also oddly, he likes the challenge presented by running a sphere and was the obvious choice to head up technological operations.
  

• Lughaidah retired as Head of Technology to spend his later years enjoying the life and luxury that he helped bring to the house. He spends most of his time spreading Uisce Beatha, although is a slightly more relaxed manner than Hazel.

• Heulfryn Boudicca - Daughter of the Baroness
  

• An idle, ordinary intellectual. She is a mediocre duellist and an average administrator.
  

• Married to Oscar Quest
  

• There is no doubt that Heulfryn is Erina's daughter. The same fiery hair (although curly instead of straight) the same sparkling green eyes, the same attitudes. As heiress, she had want for nothing and her life since puberty has been nothing but one big party. She drinks when she wants (which is often), beds who she wants (girls, boys, groups), and buys what she wants. She considers herself extremely lucky to have found a husband in Ocsar who can both understand and share in her wanton lifestyle and looks forward to a long, decadent life with him (and whoever is nearby to party with).
  

• Heulfryn's conversion to the Void Engineers was originally a bluff to learn more about the faith but over time it taught her discipline and boosted her confidence in her own ability as opposed to relying on others (or money or fame etc). She has mastered several of the seemingly arcane powers Void Engineers are said to possess. She still likes to party and enjoy life however and currently travels about the galaxy extensively.
  

• Heulfryn (and Oscar) both underwent the Prometheus process to transfer themselves into younger versions of their own bodies with some additional 'enhancements', some obvious and some not so obvious.
  

• Huelfryn is currently serving as Prime Minister of Eridanus.

• Captan Boudicca - Nephew of the Baroness
  

• A dynamic, irritating individual. He is a mediocre duellist and an unsurpassed administrator.
  

• Head of Leisure.
  

• Married to Keturah Goratrix
  

• A bastard male (being Hazel's son by some minor noble) in a house run by women, Captan's life has not been easy. Kept out of the public eye, shunted from school to school, prevented from partaking in the wanton lifestyle of the Boudicca women, he has become resentful and repressed. If given an inch he takes a mile, sometimes lashing out in anger, other times taking extreme risks or indulging overmuch. He has recently become hooked on illegal drugs. Originally he was not pleased by his marriage to Keturah Goratrix, feeling he has been passed from one woman to another, but since then has matured greatly, given up drugs, and curtailed his drinking. As head of Leisure operations he has had great success.

• Meghan Boudicca - Niece of the Baroness
  

• An apathetic, irritating genius of great artistic ability.
  

• Married to Qatadah Sunfell.
  

• Another of Hazel's bastards, Meghan is wild even by Boudicca standards. She has been going through a goth "phase" since she was 15 and it shows no signs of ending any time soon. She's content with her marriage to Qatadah Sunfell but that does not prevent her from taking other people into her bed (both male and female) as the mood takes her, although she possesses a wide sadistic streak and she sees them as playthings rather than lovers. Her only (possibly) redeeming feature is her artistic ability which she currently squanders (in most peoples' opinions) making loud, perverse music that most consider little more than noise.
  

• Meghan's 'goth' tendencies seem to be here to stay as she went so far as to have horns, wings, and a tail surgically implanted. Her sadistic streak however has mellowed although she is still very sexually aggressive (she's a self admitted dominatrix). She continues her musical career with her band, The Scarlet Devils.

• Shona Boudicca - Granddaughter of the Baroness
  

• An idle, ordinary intellectual. She is a mediocre duellist and an accomplished administrator.
  

• Daughter of Heulfryn and Oscar.
  

• Married to Goldwyn Malvolio
  

• Shona was raised by both her parents and her grandmother Erina. She is unfailingly polite and courteous and dresses in a modest, almost old-fashioned, way. She spends most of her time reading. It remains to be seen if this demure attitude is permanent or not.
  

• Now a young woman, and a married one at that, Shona has shown that while she is less open than her mother in regards to sex she has the same firery heart as her marriage to Goldwyn has been one of private passion, and she loves him deeply. Still somewhat bookish, with a love of botany, she is quietly being groomed for her role as head of house some day.

• To date Heulyn has taken after her mother, and in more than looks. She is stubborn and ill-tempered, having similar behavioral issues that Meghan herself did as a girl (i.e. drinking, sex, bad at school). She secretly resents her sibllings, all of whom underwent generic tampering in utero to enhance their mental and physical attributes. She often refers to them mockingly as 'cat-kids'. See below.

• Prior to Awena's birth, Meghan visited Ginger Forge about several concerns she had. Ginger agreed to use some of her genetic engineering expertise to "enhance" Meghan's unborn child.
  

• Now in her teens, the effects of Ginger's tampering have become clear. Awena (and her later siblings) all exhibit clear feline traits: lithe bodies with large furry ears and tails. In addition these feline children seem to mature, both physically and mentally, more rapidly than normal humans although there is no indication that they will advance beyond peak-human limits.
  

• Awena personally seems to have a large amount of Void potential, although this seems specific to her and not a result of the genetic modifications. Despite this connection with the Void, generally considered somewhat dark, Awena herself is cheerful, innocent, and always sees the good in people. Awena is also starting to get a reputation as being bad luck, although she suffers no ill effects, people around her seem to have a larger than normal number of mishaps.
