Dawn of the Grey Way

All of life exists in a delicate balance. Black and white, night and day, order and chaos, right and wrong. Dawn of the Grey Way exist between these extremes. For there to be good, there must be evil. Night is destroyed by day, and day always gives way to night. All who become enlightened must devote themselves to the opposite of what they had enslaved themselves to before their awakening. The evil man must become good, the glutton must starve them self, the chaste will become debauched. Father Roman Aucodi has revealed to us this secret; he has shown us the way of true enlightenment. It is through the Grey Way that we will shed ourselves of our mortal shackles and reach perfect unity in the spiritual realm.

Rejoice, for everyday the religions of old give way to the Grey Way, and know that Enlightenment is the greatest joy for our Galaxy.

Congratulation to Baade on being the first galaxy to receive the glimmer of hope that is the Dawn of the Grey Way. Founded by Father Roman Aucodi, the Grey Way teaches us to embrace the Duality of our nature, to become the opposite of what you are, to destroy the slave you used to be and enlighten your self in the truth. The rich become poor, the weak become strong, the glutton become starved and the chaste become debauched. As the proverbial saying goes, there are two sides to every coin, too long we have ignored our other selves focusing on what is only half of our being, no more, by embracing our opposite we will realize the wholeness of our being and share in the unity of the after.

On this Glorious day, I the Prophet Father Roman Aucodi was visited by a being of pure balance and peace, and it shared with me the secret of all existence. It charged me with teaching this secret to those that are worthy of receiving it. Only by my action will the whole of humanity be saved from its imprisonment of the flesh.

As the Grey Way expands throughout the north east, I, as the one true prophet, feel it is the right time to spread the enlightenment of the Grey Way with a series of monthly messages and lessons. I hope to post a new lesson every month (ooc in game), and that this will help the lost and misguided come to the true path of the middle road.

Recently I encountered two men having an argument with a third listening in. The two men were fervently debating the true nature of man. The first man would say that man is inherently evil, while the second man would say that man is by nature a good being. For hours the third man and I watched as these two argued about who was right, when finally I asked the third man "where do you sit in your beliefs?"

The third man turned away from the two and said "I don’t know what to believe, both men make valid points. I feel at times to do good for no reason other then it being right, yet I also feel that I want more for myself, even to the detriment of my fellow man." I told him this in response:

“Look at these two men, so firm in their beliefs, knowing exactly what defines them. Yet even though they think they know themselves they are constantly in conflict with each other. Their discoveries have not brought them personal peace, only more conflict; do you know why this is? It is because they deny the fact they are both right. The good man fights the evil one, because he refuses to come to terms with his own inherent evil, and the evil man fights the good one, because he hates the good in him. You however are at peace, you do not fight, and you do not argue. Do you know why this is? It is because you understand the dual nature of your being; you understand that you encompass the capabilities for both extremes within you. By understanding yourself, you have found peace with yourself, and as such are able to break free from your bondage.”

The Third man upon hearing this, knew this to be the truth, and he said “I believe what you say to be true, I have often felt soothed in knowing this, but I didn’t know why.” He then looks back at the two men arguing “what will happen to them though?” and to this I replied “If they do not come to terms with themselves then surely they will only find death. Their own hatred for themselves will manifest itself into hatred for each other, and neither will stop until the other is destroyed.”

The Third man asked me what he could do, and I shared with him the secrets of the Grey Way, and he has followed me since. This is the way of the physical world, if you do not know yourself all you will find is destruction; however, if you understand the balance within you, you will discover that this is all you need.

In my second lesson I plan to cover one of the fundamental building blocks of the Grey Way, that building block being the act of Self Realignment. Self Realignment is what is used by the practitioners of the Grey Way to create balance in their lives and in the universe. The Grey Way teaches us that all of humanity is imperfect, that we are running at a sub par efficiency, that we latch onto extremes. We often latch onto extreme ideologies such as good & evil, right & wrong, order & chaos, and black & white, but like black & white, there is a middle ground, the grey area, the point of perfect balance.

It is the perfect balance we the enlightened ones seek. However we can’t simply say "I am neutral" because this is impossible to do. If you spent your whole life devoted to one cause, how can you know anything about what you had opposed? Also if you know nothing about what you were opposed to, how can you know where the middle ground is? This is why Self Realignment is so important to the Grey Way; it is the method that we use to figure out what our middle ground is.

Self Realignment is achieved by dedicating yourself to the polar opposite of what you had spent your life devoted to. The chaste become debauched, the evil become good, the rich become impoverished, and the warrior becomes the pacifist. By living a life as what you once fought, you will be able to find an inner peace that you have never known, the kind of peace that can be attained only when all of your being is in perfect harmony. Once you have come to this understanding of your opposite, this full and complete understanding, you will be able to devote yourself to the Balance of the Grey Way, and through the Grey Way, you will find enlightenment.

Welcome again to my third monthly lessons on the perfect knowledge of the Grey Way. In my first lesson I covered the story of the three men, in my second lesson I covered the importance of Self Realignment, and in today's lesson I will be covering the importance of Spiritual Balance.

Balance in itself is a driving force of the galaxy. Everything is built around this perfect balance. There is day and night, hot and cold, life and death; all these things are a part of the natural balance of life. They work together to offset the other, keeping each other in check. If day didn’t give way to night, our crops would burn, but if night didn’t give way to day they wouldn’t grow at all. If one side becomes too strong nature kicks in and balances things out.

Man works under these basic principles as well. All of our angers, our frustrations, and our physical health stem from our spiritual balance. We feel these things as our spiritual being struggles with the way we throw off our own balance. This struggle is something that we play off as being normal, we lie to ourselves saying that I am upset because I am having a bad day, or that I'm feeling blue because it is Monday, but I am telling you now that these feelings are because your spirit is not in harmony with you. Much like a cough is a symptom of a cold, the bad feelings are the symptoms of your incomplete self. When balanced is achieved, this being known as the state of Enlightenment, all of these things go away, and we are filled with a true sense of being complete.

Now let’s head back to what effects Balance has on our galaxy. Like I said before, nature will try to balance out all of its extremes; however, it also tries to correct our imbalances with a counter point. If there is a depraved man, there will be a righteous man to balance it out; the same with an orderly man, there will be a chaotic counterpart to them. This is why there is always a good man to thwart the plans of an evil man, and an evil man to challenge and oppose the good man. Sadly this constant struggle brings misery to our lives, as the two extremes battle in a vain, as balance tries to restore itself. Only by finding the Balance in our lives can we lessen this struggle and take away all hardships that we face.

In this month's lesson I will be covering the enemies of Enlightenment. These are people who seek to undermine Balance, Enlightenment, and the Grey Way in one way or another. They are known as the Enslaved, the Ignorant, the Oppressors, and the Tyrants.

The Enslaved are those that have dedicated themselves to the lies that they live. These individuals have fooled themselves into thinking that what they believe to be true, and have dedicated their lives to it. Though not completely beyond Enlightenment, they will resist, with all their might, the truth. It is our duty as the enlightened to free them from their bondage.

The Ignorant are those that heard the Truth of the Grey Way and have disregarded it. They roam the galaxy deaf and dumb to the Truth. Some disregard it because they are scared of the One Truth, other disregard because they have doomed themselves to the path of the Enslaved. One could share the path of the Grey Way with them, and they would walk by, oblivious to what they are missing. It is our goal to teach them the ways of Enlightenment.

The Oppressors are those that seek to force their bondage upon others. The want nothing more then to visit their suffering on others and deny them of the peace that the Grey Way can offer. False prophets who sell their lies, so that other can become as lost as they. The old adage that misery loves company perfectly fits their description. Yet fear not, for as steadfast in their lies as they may be, once brought into the fold can become one of our greatest assets, as they strive to undue the harm they have caused.

Fear the Tyrant, for the represent the foulest of our enemies. They seek to destroy all we have built, to stand over the bodies of our brothers and sisters, and to wipe all knowledge of the Truth from the galaxy. Often the Tyrant will act as one of our other enemies, biding his time until the time is right, suckling upon the kindness that we offer, and then striking while our backs are turned. We must be eternally vigilant for this enemy can not be won over; there is no redemption for the Tyrant. While the Tyrant cannot be stopped, he can be prevented, by plucking the seeds of Enslavement, Ignorance, and Oppression from the ground, we can prevent the roots of the Tyrant from taking hold.

Even though I am currently hosting the galactic meeting of the faiths, I feel that I couldn't deny my faithful followers of my monthly lessons. So let's dive into the Grey Way and the afterlife.

The goal of any of my followers is to reach Enlightenment. Through meditation and Self Realignment we attain that perfect unity of the soul, and thus Enlightenment. The reason for this is that if we life our lives at odds with ourselves, we cannot spend the afterlife in complete unity with each other. Only through Enlightenment and the complete peace of soul brought by Enlightenment can we enter into the afterlife and become one with all other unified spirits. This is called the Final Alignment.

When one of the Enlightened passes away, they are greeted by Galganox the Guide, a spiritual being that guides the soul to the Unified Spirit, a collective of enlightened spirits that have joined together into perfect harmony. It is in this collective hive-mind that the Enlightened will live out an eternity in peace, unity, and ecstasy.

However, those who have failed to reach Enlightenment will be torn in twain by hyper powerful space magnets of the spirit. As they are torn apart by the magnets their being is split into two polarized spirits representing the two extremes that the person had denied in his mortal life. These two spirits will spend the rest of eternity, fighting and struggling with each other. For those who do not find enlightenment, all that waits for them is pain, struggles, and suffering.

The Prophet Father Roman Aucodi dressed in his plain grey robes and beaming a wide smile, approaches an elaborate altar. The assembled crowd comprised mainly of adherents to the Dawn of the Grey Way collectively bow their heads in respect to the living prophet standing before them, truly no greater blessing could they expect then to be taught by their wise leader. Roman addresses the crowd.

"Blessings of Enlightenment to you my children"

The crowd roars back

"WE FIND ENLIGHTENMENT IN OUR LOVING FATHER"

Roman clears his throat and begins his lesson.

"As many of you may know, the Grey Way has been accused of being contradictory, and for that we are wrong; these accusations come from foolish men who live lives laden with lies, for even the youngest of our followers will tell you that we openly embrace our contradictions, that because of the duality of our being we are capable of being both happy and sad, right and wrong, good and evil. These false teachers believe we live in a world of absolute contrast, that you must pick a side and denounce all those who pick differently. These fallacious war mongers seek to undermine the important work that we are doing, yet they themselves fail to see that they are slowly approaching the middle ground. These purveyors of deceit lie to themselves even as they start to embrace their duality."

"Behold the most deluded of them all, Yochanon, he speaks of order and honor, yet even now defends his position of subterfuge and deceit as being part of his order. However, we the wise know better, we know that his eternal spirit struggles against the oppressiveness of being forced to only acknowledge only half of its existence. His facade of order weakening under the strain of the ingrained chaos that is ever part of him. Notice that since he refuses to acknowledge this part of him, it manifests it's self in ways that hurts others, this internal conflict that has poisoned his heart and soul now strives to force the same suffering on the entire galaxy.

One who isn't at peace with himself cannot be at peace with the world, this is the first thing that we are taught when we start our journey on the balanced path, yet it is the lesson we keep coming back to, because it is the underlying nature of enlightenment. It is our public contradictions that allow us to see the world from all angles and to be at peace with each other. Were we to hide or deny these hypocrisies we would drive ourselves mad. This madness is the ultimate destination for those who would defy the truth that I teach!”

With this last statement Roman pounds on the altar before him to add emphasis, which draws a loud roar of approval from the crowd.

“However we must not forsake these men, for were we not like them at one point? To abandon them would be to condemn them to an afterlife of conflict and suffering. NO! Our place is to accept all, even those who wish to do us harm, for as the Enlightened we understand that they are misguided and lost. Let no man feel abandoned by one of the faithful, for as I have shared openly with you, so too must you share what you know.

Blessings of Enlightenment to you my Children!”
